Apple Picking

Yesterday we took Ryan apple picking. Not only was it his first time, but it was also ours. He's been talking about fall and apples, so why not! We drove to a nice little farm about 40 minutes away called Simmon's Farm. While driving there Trav asked if I would make an apple pie. Now I don't like apple pie, but I figured sure why not. So that determined which type of apples we'd pick. The lady at the farm told me jonagold would be good for a pie. We walked to the orchard behind the main building and picked about 30 apples. Ry loved it! We then walked over to wear the pumpkins were growing and let Ry look around for a while. As we headed back to the main shop we stopped at their petting zoo. They had goats (and babies), rabbits, roosters, chicken, sheep and ducks. Ry seemed to enjoy himself a lot.

Oh and the apple pie turned out pretty good if I do say so myself.

I'll upload pictures this week. I left my camera cord at work.
